Dr Falk Pharma UK/Core Research Bursaries and Awards 2008

With the unrestricted financial support of Dr Falk Pharma UK, Core is pleased to invite applications for the following bursaries and awards for 2008.

One research essay prize

£1,000 essay prize for the best dissertation on personally undertaken research in an area relevant to gastroenterology by a medical student on a BSc or MRes course during 2007/08. The prize will be awarded at the British Society of Gastroenterology Scientific Meeting in March 2009 and the winner will be encouraged to submit a poster of their work to the Society.

Six research bursaries

£1,000 bursaries are available for six medical students taking a full-time science degree (BSc/MRes/MBPhD) in an area relevant to gastroenterology in 2009/10. Bursaries will be awarded once the successful applicant’s place on the course has been confirmed.

Two research bursaries open to F1/F2 clinicians

£2,200 bursaries are available to two clinicians at F1/F2 grades undertaking research into any area relevant to gastroenterology in 2009/10. The bursaries will be awarded at the British Society of Gastroenterology Scientific Meeting in March 2009.
