Just Walk is an exciting sponsored walk in the beautiful South Downs countryside for anyone wanting to fundraise for Core.

Core is inviting you to take part in Just Walk 2010! It is taking place on 15 May 2010 in the beautiful South Downs. 

There are distances to suit all ages and levels of stamina and you can choose between 60km, 40km, 20km or 10km routes.

Don't forget if you raise at least £125 the fee for next year's event will only be £25.

So don't delay, spread the word to your family and friends and sign up to help support Core in this exciting event!

A huge well done to all our 2009 Just Walkers!

JustWalk 2009 was another success. 23 walkers experienced the unique JustWalk atmosphere raising so far £3,000 - a fantastic amount!

Dr Suzanne Connelly's comments on the day were:

“I volunteered for Just Walk 2009 for a number of reasons. The first one was because I enjoyed hill walking when I lived in Scotland and wanted to discover areas in Southern England. But more importantly because Core are sponsoring my PhD in coeliac disease. I am lucky to get funding for research at a time of financial problems and it is nice to be able to repay some of the money back for future generations of research… In summary it was an enjoyable day with well organised stops and bountiful enthusiasm to keep me motivated.”

Throughout the day our walkers enjoyed the stunning countryside as they took on their chosen walks, some taking on the 10km route, some the 20km route and a few taking on the 40km walk. Many of the walkers were taking part for reasons very close to their hearts and this was reflective in the great energy throughout the day.

Chloe Wicks, Core’s Community Fundraiser, had this to say:

“The event was a great success with fantastic weather and some great results. It was great to have the opportunity to meet some of our supporters. They had many comments about how well organised the event was and the feedback from people post event is really good. I am looking forward to an even bigger and better JustWalk 2010. ”
