Who We Are
Core is the only national charity committed to fighting all diseases of the gut, liver and pancreas. Core supports research across all areas of gastroenterology and provides practical information to patients, their families and carers.
We were formed in 1971 as the Digestive Disorders Foundation and enjoy a strong working relationship with the British Society of Gastroenterology, the body for professionals working in this area, as well as with other funders of research and patient support groups with whom we work in partnership where possible.
